At Mueen we are committed to protecting your privacy and that of your students. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use and protect it.
1. Data we collect
We collect the account data you provide (such as name and email), the content you create (courses, quizzes, questions), and the student data and grades you enter for grading purposes, in addition to basic technical data needed to run and improve the service.
2. How we use data
We use your data to operate the platform, provide grading and grade-management services, send operational notifications, and improve the quality and security of the service. We do not use your students' data for advertising or to train AI models.
3. Data security and encryption
Everything travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS), and sensitive fields — answer keys, question text, and conversations — are stored encrypted in the database. Passwords are stored hashed. Each teacher can access only their own organization's data.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing. Data is shared only with people you explicitly choose (via the sharing feature), with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform under confidentiality obligations, or where legally required.
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account or its data, and we will process the request in accordance with applicable laws and any legal retention obligations.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data, and to change your account preferences at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.
7. Student data privacy
As a teacher, you are the controller of your students' data and are responsible for obtaining the permissions needed to enter it. We process this data on your behalf and solely for grading and grade-management purposes.
